All around are indoor spaces and walls that can benefit hugely from creative design - whether that’s to add fun and comfort for children coming to the dentist, to celebrate and teach on a place, to maintain history, to contribute large scale to a style of a space or to add functional fun and interactive components such as animal growth charts, “smiling” dentist mirrors, or hunt & find logos -
- the options are endless and the impact is enormous!

SCHOOLS

Schools are one of our favorite places to bring meaningful design to since they are the hub of children’s lives and learning for so many hours. What should be more important than having an engaging space that has the aesthetics and beauty purposed to the value of their time? From elementary school bathrooms, gyms and libraries, even playgrounds, middle school entries, stairwells, quotes and cafeterias, to high school sports medicine rooms, and more, school design not only uplifts the students, but teacher morale and all who enter!

CHURCHES

Churches are a place that communicated many things and beauty of creation should one of them - whether that’s excitement upon entering the kids’ zone, reminder of stories and traditions a faith is built on, or making space for messages with a modern, peace-bearing aesthetic. You’ll see below, the designs we’ve created are as diverse as the churches we’ve created for!

COMMERCIAL OUTDOOR

Transforming spaces can be taken to outside walls, buildings and fences too! A bit of imagination, a douse of paint & even the blandest areas can be turned into purposeful, joyful color that spreads a message and adds to creating a space with purpose!
These outdoor spaces below have been created in Virginia, West Virginia, California, and URUGUAY!

RESIDENTIAL

Each person’s home is as unique as each person is - and the touch we can add to your space is the same! Whether personal gyms, a whimsical bathroom, an uplifting reminder in a child’s room, a custom nursery, removable mural or even a full two story family “tree” - we can bring to life what your imagination holds! *Fosters? Cassandra, mandala bathroom..

PUBLIC ART

Over many years, Fun Places has been able to participate in public art events spanning across cities or whole states. These public sculptures were sponsored by local businesses or organizations and displayed for families to “find” - sometimes a series of 20, often up to 100+ of each statue! Our sponsors have included banks, universities, college savings programs, an insurance company, dentists, architecture and design companies, a sporting goods store, a hospital, college savings program, the developers of the Mall of America, and more. Some of these events have honored Charles Schultz, the Science Museum of MN, Israel’s anniversary of statehood, and even Kemps Ice Cream flavors. Statues have included giant metal robot-cut tooth fairy wings, toothbrushes ran by windshield wiper motors, Elvis attire adorning a life-size cow, and even tiny Woodstock with Swedish buns and wearing clogs!

We have ALWAYS loved quotes, verses, and uplifting phrases - and created doodles as things have captured our hearts to echo those sentiments. Here are a few examples - from ink to watercolor to painting to chalk - that express our love to the doodle!

What we like to make around here is as big of a joyful cornucopia of creativity as you can imagine!
