“Our world is more colorful and creative as a result of the things Danielle Ferrin has contributed to Parkview Center School, a K-8 school Roseville, MN. She has transformed our school with her extraordinary vision and her artwork lifts and brightens every day for our students and staff. Thanks to her, we have beautifully designed and colorful teacher banners hanging outside each classroom, whimsical painted wall words outside the bathrooms for “Boys” and “Girls” and artistically beautiful word reminders of our schools’ vision throughout the building. This summer, Danielle designed and coordinated a playground makeover, which involved families and students painting play areas for our K-4 students. Our playground now hosts such fun things as snail hopscotch, bright four square courts, multi-colored basketball hoops, picture frames to use chalk with, caterpillars that have letters and numbers in the body, a giant chess/checkers board, a labyrinth for peer mediation, and a stage for creative play. She gave new life to bland walls and boring black asphalt. It is now a place that fosters fun. It has been an honor to work with Danielle Ferrin. She has a can do attitude and innovative solutions to any problem. Her creativity is extraordinary!”

I just wanted to say how much everyone at Legacy LOVES the mural that you painted this summer. It is just beautiful and adds so much life into our library. I enjoyed the process of picking out the books and characters to include in the mural and I loved seeing how you put them together to tell a story. Every detail was so well-thought out…like the boy from The Giving Tree standing on the edge of Sam and Dave’s hole and Fly Guy in the Cat in the Hat’s hand all the way to the detail of Patricia Polacco reading The Lightning Thief. Thank you for including my principal’s vision of a school logo included in the mural; it looks perfectly in place and the kids get so excited when they see that fun addition. I was also very impressed with how committed you were to finishing on time so that we could surprise both the staff and the students with a completed mural upon their arrival back at school this year. It really is the perfect addition to our library and I cannot wait to add more color and fun to our walls with you. Thank you for everything!

We’ve been Dandazzled! After moving into our new recreational gymnastics space, we realized we needed something fun and colorful to match our philosophy and vision. Having a fun and upbeat environment was most important to us, white walls weren’t cutting it. One wall had awkward pipes sticking out and they could not be moved. What to do? Well, I sat down with Danielle and thought they kinda looked like monkey bars. Perfect! Let’s have monkeys in the jungle swinging on the “branches” . Danielle’s jungle scene is bigger than life and brightens up our space. She hid “easter eggs” in the mural as well, discreetly painting our logo into the scene in many places so our athletes could have fun searching for them. Danielle brought our gym alive with whimsical animals and bright colors. We could not be happier with how it came out. Danielle was wonderful to work with!

Danielle was very easy to work with. She always was willing to change/adapt the mural to our school needs. She completed it in a timely fashion. The students are enthralled with all the characters she was able to incorporate into the finished product. She was never in the way when painting in the room and always left her equipment out of the way. The teachers cannot stop commenting on the quality of the work. Everyone in the school is pleased with the mural.
