SCHOOLS

Schools are one of our favorite places to bring meaningful design to since they are the hub of children’s lives and learning for so many hours. What should be more important than having an engaging space that has the aesthetics and beauty purposed to the value of their time? From elementary school bathrooms, gyms and libraries, even playgrounds, middle school entries, stairwells, quotes and cafeterias, to high school sports medicine rooms, and more, school design not only uplifts the students, but teacher morale and all who enter!

Simpson Middle School: House Color

 “Adding Color”
Simpson Middle School, Houses Update

As the oldest middle school in Loudoun County, built in 1976, this school doesn’t have some of the natural light and beautiful perks as the new builds, but that doesn’t mean things can’t be done to easily update the feel and welcome for all students who come! This mega-makeover began with a simple striping and color block addition to each of the three “Houses” (center hubs) for 6th, 7th and 8th grades. Fresh paint, some printed branding and color added to often-seen places was a great start to bringing this environment up to exciting! Take a look at other Simpson Middle School projects that followed on this site including front entry and skylight, front office, front hallways, bathrooms and more!
