Schools are one of our favorite places to bring meaningful design to since they are the hub of children’s lives and learning for so many hours. What should be more important than having an engaging space that has the aesthetics and beauty purposed to the value of their time? From elementary school bathrooms, gyms and libraries, even playgrounds, middle school entries, stairwells, quotes and cafeterias, to high school sports medicine rooms, and more, school design not only uplifts the students, but teacher morale and all who enter!

Loudoun Country Day School: Entrance

“Soaring to Great Heights”
Loudoun Country Day School, Leesburg, VA

This middle school entry mural was gifted by an 8th grade graduating class, who wanted to inspire upcoming students with the character traits that can be gained during their time in 6th-8th grades as well as showcase the beauty of their eagle mascot and the nearby Shenandoah mountains. It beautifully frames the entrance to this part of the school, setting it apart and additionally, has a matching chalkboard sign to write announcements or directions.
