SCHOOLS

Schools are one of our favorite places to bring meaningful design to since they are the hub of children’s lives and learning for so many hours. What should be more important than having an engaging space that has the aesthetics and beauty purposed to the value of their time? From elementary school bathrooms, gyms and libraries, even playgrounds, middle school entries, stairwells, quotes and cafeterias, to high school sports medicine rooms, and more, school design not only uplifts the students, but teacher morale and all who enter!

Parkview Center School: Character

“Character Values”
Parkview Center School K-8, Roseville, MN

This intentional and joyful “choice” school in a suburb of St. Paul is a creative place of learning. Fun Places has done four projects for this school (see playground & life size whale painting collaboration with K-3rd graders under other posts) and, for this project, CORE values for the school and students were painted on posts around the school to remind and inspire. Bathroom entries were also painted with whimsical murals and a coordinating fabric pattern was designed for production of hanging banners outside of each classroom, color coded by grade levels & specialties, adding to the wonderful place it is to come to every day!
