Hope & Serenity Farm Sanctuary, Nokesville, VA

As one of the most magical, welcoming places of belonging, this animal sanctuary is home to hundreds of different animals who were either unwanted or rescued, including large pigs, baby piglets, rabbits, donkey, mule, horses, alpaca, sheep, cows, turkeys, geese, ducks, dogs, and so much more! Sweetness and mischief is around every corner and we had LOTS of animal curiosity and company while painting! Once while visiting, the owner mentioned a mural on a big white barn that would be all the animals welcoming everyone… sounded like a perfect gift for Fun Places and farm volunteers to give back! In a collaborative effort, volunteers of all ages helped paint this mural, with Fun Places finishing it off and adding some fun details like the polka dot shutters to truly make this a summary of the fun farm welcome all experience!
